Vision & Core Philosophy

In the pursuit of low-carbon mobility, idle or aging bicycles represent a form of hidden waste. TAKE-E’s core design philosophy is: Electrify, Empower, and Green
The environmental cost of mobility is not only created by emissions, but by products designed to be replaced too early. Millions of bicycles are discarded not because they fail structurally, but because existing systems refuse to support them.
OctaLoop starts from a different position:
extending the life of what already exists is a design responsibility, not an afterthought.

Maximum Assistance, Minimum Consumption
TAKE-E Dynamic Power System ends struggles on uphill climbs. It precisely detects pedal force, delivering up to 3 times the assistance power exactly when you need it. This optimal, dynamic control makes every ride effortless and enjoyable while simultaneously saving battery power and extending range.

Lateral Modularity: Repair, Don’t Replace.
Product Longevity: Component-level repair prevents premature system disposal.
Resource Efficiency: Design for Disassembly (DfD) makes material recovery simple and efficient.
User Maintenance: basic hand tools access lowers the barrier for repairs.

Alignment with Green Prize Core Ethos
★ This modular design highly aligns with the core principles of the Green Prize—Sustainability and Environmental Ethos—by supporting the Circular Economy.

Pain Point Solution
TAKE-E’s innovative design systematically resolves the three major pain points of traditional e-bike conversion kits: installation complexity, aesthetics, and user experience:

Form Follows Sustainability
A unified geometry adaptable to any frame and every journey.
The Octagonal Battery :
Optimizes volume and handling, integrating visually without dominating the frame.
Adaptive Specs:
Flight-Ready (36V 4Ah): Fully aviation-compliant (<160Wh). Travel globally with your own bike, avoiding disposable battery rentals.

★ Minimalist Wiring Integration:
Through a proprietary e-assist system controller, all functions are condensed into the absolute minimum number of cables, resolving the industry issue of messy wiring and difficult maintenance found in older e-bikes.

Universal Fit
•Compatible with both legacy dropouts (Standard Motor) and modern geometries (Thru-Axle). No bike is left behind
★ Thru-Axle Rear Wheel Motor:
Utilizing precise mechanical design, we achieve quick, tool-free installation and removal. This simplifies the previously complicated installation process to mere minutes, significantly lowering the user’s entry barrier and eliminating the cost of purchasing specialized tools.

Dematerialization: Software Replaces Hardware
Digital Minimalism. We replaced the dedicated plastic dashboard with an intuitive App.
This eliminates material usage and future electronic waste (e-waste) while offering a continuously upgradable interface.
★ Smart Digital Steward:
The new TAKE-E APP (supporting iOS/Android) replaces the traditional dashboard. Riders can use their personal smartphone to complete parameter settings, display riding data, and control the smart system, not only saving the cost of dedicated meter hardware but also providing an intuitive, personalized riding experience..

Sustainable Commitment
Our sustainability claims extend beyond “circular reuse”:
★ High-Performance Carbon Wheel Contribution to Durability & Efficiency :
The carbon fiber rim paired with the rear motor boasts outstanding impact resistance and high load strength, directly enhancing the product’s durability and lifespan, thus reducing resource waste from component replacement.
Its lightweight nature effectively offsets the motor’s weight, decreasing system energy consumption and improving range. This is a dual contribution of material optimization to resource-saving and performance enhancement.
★ Low-Carbon Logistics Optimized Packaging ( FSC Certified ) :
Our packaging design uses FSC-certified single-material construction and a universal design to cover multiple rim sizes, optimizing B2B2C warehousing and logistics efficiency. Verified testing shows this design successfully reduces the carbon footprint by 6.24% / PCS, serving as a prime example of perfectly combining functional innovation, material sustainability, and logistics efficiency.

Packaging Design
★ Side-Pull Box Structure
Large Box – Outer Carton
Medium Box – Inner Support Structure
Small Box – Component Storage Box
A single inner structure resolves component organization, offering a more stylish and visually appealing user experience.

Packaging materials
★ The new packaging solution uses FSC-certified materials to ensure that the sources of packaging materials are traceable and comply with sustainable management principles.

Packaging Material Carbon Footprint
The following general formula was used for this carbon footprint calculation:
Carbon Emissions (kgCO₂e) = Activity Data × Carbon Emission (Footprint) Factor

Carbon Reduction Results

Conclusion
TAKE-E is more than just a conversion kit; it is the “Sustainable Upgrade License” designed for old bikes, an innovative fusion of cycling system functionality and environmental ethos, proving that the most advanced design is always the most sustainable one.
